Get Started

Slate.org creates a stronger relationship between school counselors and admissions offices by keeping everyone on the same page throughout the admissions process. With the Slate.org portal you will be able to:

  • Monitor students’ application progress.
  • Schedule visits with college representatives.
  • Conveniently and securely upload documents online to a student’s application.

Slate.org also has an added benefit of not being purely a UT platform. You’ll be able to access any other institution or university that uses Slate through the same portal.

To get started, you will need to register for an account. It can take up to 24 hours to authenticate as Slate.org cross checks CEEB codes and other authenticators to validate an account before approval.

Counselor Advisory Board

UT’s Counselor Advisory Board is comprised of high school counselors from around the country who offer valuable insight and contribute to improving the student, parent, and counselor experience. Counselors are nominated by UT Admission Counselors each year to serve on the board.

Breakfast with Counselors

Each year, we extend an invitation to high school counselors to participate in an educational program aimed at keeping them up-to-date on the latest developments in the undergraduate admissions process, enrollment data, core requirements, and newly introduced programs for prospective students. The program consists of a series of eight half-day conferences held at various locations across Tennessee, designed to equip counselors with the necessary knowledge to provide information to college-bound students who are contemplating applying to any of the schools within the UT System.

Find out more information about this important event on the UT System’s website.
